Roofing Installer

Responsibilities

  • Install and repair commercial and residential roofs
  • Remove old or damaged material
  • Install new materials, such as asphalt shingles, solar tiles, slate, or metal
  • Cut and shape roofing materials to the proper size
  • Follow all OSHA safety regulations

Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED certificate (preferred)
  • Prior roofing experience
  • Familiarity with various hand tools, including shingle cutters and hatchets
  • Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working at significant heights in various weather conditions
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Roof Sales Team Member

Responsibilities

  • Represent AKVM Roofing with pride and professionalism
  • Must be able to climb a roof to physically inspect and assess any damage to the roof
  • Determine and present the best options for the homeowner to serve their roofing needs
  • Write and review contracts
  • Effectively communicate with customers, management, office staff and field personnel regarding all aspects of the sales process
  • Create your own schedule to optimize your success

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of sales experience required. Roofing experience is a plus but not required
  • Must be able to physically climb a ladder and walk a roof
  • Work flexible hours to meet with homeowners
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be well organized to keep track of daily appointments and leads in order to be punctual to all appointments
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug test

CDL Driver

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate company vehicles, including trucks and trailers, to transport roofing materials, tools, and equipment to job sites.
  • Ensure all loads are properly secured and balanced to prevent shifting during transit.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with company and DOT regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment at job sites.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company safety policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and crew members to coordinate schedules and logistics.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all times, providing excellent customer service when interacting with clients and the public.

Qualifications

  • Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CDL driver, preferably in the construction or roofing industry.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and ability to maintain compliance.
  • Strong understanding of safe driving practices and defensive driving techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina and strength to load and unload heavy materials and equipment.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Additional Qualifications (preferred, but not required)

  • Experience operating construction vehicles and equipment, such as forklifts and cranes.
  • Familiarity with local roads and routes in the Sarasota/Bradenton area.
  • Additional certifications, such as OSHA safety training, are a plus.
