Centerstone's Life;Story 5K/10K

AKVM is proud to be a Premier Sponsor for Centerstone's 21st Annual Life Story 5K/10K Run and Walk for Suicide Prevention. This event aims to help spread the message that every life is valued and suicide can be prevented.

This cause is near and dear to the team at AKVM as well as to me personally, due in part to recently learning that our Operations Manager, Josh Brown, lost his wife to suicide just a few short years ago. Josh’s story has inspired me to learn more about this topic, which led me to Centerstone, a nonprofit organization specializing in providing mental health and addiction treatments for people of all ages.

Centerstone’s mission is to deliver care that changes peoples’ lives, a mission that requires support from communities like ours. With such support, the organization has served more than 100,000 people throughout the eastern United States, including through outpatient clinics, residential programs, school-based services, telehealth, and inpatient services. Centerstone also offers specialized programs for members of the military and their families throughout the country.
